Lost and Amazed

Danvers, Ill.  A family was stuck in a corn maze.  They called police to get them out and found they were only 25 feet from the exit.
Two boys were lost in maze of mirrors.  One child cried until his mom found him.  The other was not content to stay in place and ran till he found the exit (Found: God's Will, 1973, John MacArthur)

We are not content to be lost.

My heart goes out to my friends who are hurting this Christmas.  More than a few will have a relative missing from the dinner table.  Some may have a spouse gone do to deployment, separation or divorce.  I pray that however desperate you feel in the maze of life, that you will cry out to Jesus or stumble out to be found by the embrace of the Son of God who will bring you comfort and joy.

Habakkuk is a name that means, "one who embraces."  He observed and experienced some pretty bad stuff that happened in the life of his nation.  He was inspired to write these words:

"Even though the fig trees have no blossoms
and there are no grapes on the vines
even though the olive crop fails
and the fields lie empty and barren
even though the flocks die in the fields
and the cattle barns are empty
yet I will rejoice in the Lord!"
(Habakkuk 3:17-18)

May you experience life in the embrace of the one who loves you eternally.

Shopping in Korea: Dongdaemun Fabric Market

My friend Lindsay and I go on all sorts of different adventures together. I'm pretty fortunate to have a buddy that's just willing to get up and go places with me. :-) What you see here is only on ONE floor of this big building. And every time I go here I see something else shiny and sparkly....

Many, many buttons and embellishments

Bags and hats and fabrics, oh my!

My scrapbooking friends would LOVE this place!

Almost tempted to buy a hot glue gun...oh the things a crafty person could make outta these!

After a few hours of shopping we had a picnic lunch at the Cheonggyecheon Stream....

What a great place to hang with a friend!

Parking Pain

So, while Clyde and I were in hot pursuit of stray frequencies on post.  A soldier in a hurry backed into my parked motorcycle and tipped it over!   I had to pull away from the cool spectral investigation to go take a look at the damage.  The SFC and her boss set the bike back up by the time I got there.  Looks like I'll be getting a new brake lever and a better parking spot.  May be time to get a set of engine guards while I'm at it.
