Colds don't even sneak up on me anymore. It's like they know i'm old and can't fend them off as well, so they just pounce for the kill. Time to pull out the stops and stock up on vitamin C. Operation "Earl Grey - hot" in effect ... tea time is continuous.
Got a paper to write, reading to catch up on, and some tea to drink.

Lotte World - 10 Oct 2011
Lotte World is Korea's version of Disney except instead of mice, there are squirrels. The world's largest indoor theme park.

Memebers of Hannam Village (Army family housing area) were invited by Pastor Cho of Yoido Chruch to go on a day trip to Nami Island.

Date Night: Dolaganun Samgakji, 22 Oct 2011
For our date night we went to a Korean Restaurant in Samgakji, near the Army garrison in Yongsan. I had a great beef stew there during a lunch with my co-workers. Dinner was super: beef bulgogi soup for two! Even got a little booth to ourselves.
After dinner it was off to to Cheonggyecheon (청계천) stream. It is an 8.4 km body of water flowing through the heart of the midnight shopping district in Seoul. Pretty place to walk, talk and hang out.

Carolyn's contribution to her 1st grade class pumpkin patch. This one has 4 faces on it. One more and i would have named it Quintesson...
Carolyn's first grade class in the "Dolphin Theater." We tried to get Carolyn to wave at us, but she was more interested in saying hi to OPM (other peoples' mothers). They did three songs.

Dreamscape 20111026: Web-slinger
It was daylight and I could see my parents' house in Miami. I was standing outside and there was a car in the driveway. The garage wasn't in place, so the house looked like it did when I was still in school. Don't know what kind of car except that the roof had a stell blue color to it. Seemed like I had just walked outside and looked left when I heard 2 hand sized spiders go "splat" on the roof of the car. They were covered in webs and didn't move. The event surprised me and I backed off to the left of the vehicle. I noticed a movement in my peripheral, looked and jumped away again when i saw three bats hanging upside-down along the east wing of the house. In fact the whole wall looked like it had been replaced by a huge, thick spiderweb. There were 2 or 3 large spiders wrapped up and stuck in the web. The bats were hanging as though in rest, but not caught in the web. I woke up and immediately wanted to envision myself striking the bats with a bat, but as I reviewed what I saw, I realized they were not a danger to me, just alarming to see.
As I process the dream, the house is my heart; the place Jesus always knocks when He wants to get my attention. The wall that the web was covering was my dad's old room growing up. Not sure yet of the significance of the web, spiders or bats. The wall was daunting, which leads me to believe that maybe there is a place in my heart that needs to be exposed to God or that God wants me to return to.
Recently returned to doing my Bible bootcamp morning routine in an effort to "do the first works".
As I process the dream, the house is my heart; the place Jesus always knocks when He wants to get my attention. The wall that the web was covering was my dad's old room growing up.
